PostHope has closed. Your updates still need a home.

PostHope was a volunteer-run nonprofit that gave families a free place to share health journeys from 2011 until it closed in 2024, after payment-processor problems beyond its control. It helped a lot of people through hard seasons, and it deserves a respectful goodbye. If your family used PostHope — or you were about to start a page and found the doors closed — Sendet was built for the same moment in life, with a deliberately simpler shape.

One honest difference: Sendet has no built-in fundraising and no community tools like meal or ride organizing. If those are central for you, a dedicated fundraiser plus a Sendet page for updates covers both.

Why families land on Sendet

Starting over takes about ten minutes

  1. Create your free Sendet page and choose a password.
  2. If you saved your PostHope journal, paste your story so far into your first update.
  3. Share your new link and password with the same people — by text or email.

Common questions

Is PostHope really closed?

Yes. PostHope, which had been online since 2011, announced its closure in 2024, citing problems with its payment processor that were beyond its control. Parts of the old website may still appear online, but the service is no longer creating new pages.

Can I move my PostHope journal to Sendet?

There is no automatic importer, but if you saved or downloaded your journal entries, you can paste your story so far into your first Sendet update. Most families are set up in under ten minutes.

Is Sendet really free?

Yes. Creating a password-protected page and posting unlimited updates is free, with no ads and no donation prompts. Optional Pro features — email alerts for new updates, photos, and comments — start at $29.99 per year, and anyone (not just the page owner) can unlock them for a page.

Do my family and friends need an account to read updates?

No. Readers just open your link and enter the page password once. There is no sign-up, no app to install, and no account required to read updates.
